It's difficult for the Australian squad to break new ground.

The highest peaks have already been conquered.

We're talking about the squad that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, plus six more T20 titles, and once went nearly four years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, targeted by the record chasers, are what's still available for a team that has achieved everything.

The fact it required until Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase above 300, reclaiming their record for the biggest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, in truth, a compliment to the bowling attack that have represented Australia over the last half-century.

Certain people claim the reasoning behind championship match pressure. Others can counter with the challenge that comes when confronting a historic chase and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

One run resulted off the opening delivery and from that point the right-hander was underway.

"An opportunity to go out there and face the challenge with her and just have a bit of fun that way, somewhat inspired me," said Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 pitches - her quickest at the global tournament - and her century in 84 balls as she attacked short-pitched balls, hitting 21 fours and three big hits.

Once she was removed Australia needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - a manageable total now needing a comfortable finish.

"Pursuing 330 is new territory so I'm happy we have the belief to do that now," added Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to repeat it but, should it happen, we know we can succeed."

That comment will be the final thing Australia's opponents at this championship need to hear.

In recent days a belief they will triumph from any situation has become more firm - this victory following victory over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite struggling at 76-7 at one point.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before an encounter with traditional opponents England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final place may likely be confirmed.

It was in the semi-finals they left last year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a game Healy was absent due to ruptured tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the first time at a significant event.

So strong is her resolve, she later said she wished she had played with the discomfort.

But while she subsequently acknowledged those physical issues have pushed back thoughts of retirement, this World Cup is likely to be her final tournament as skipper in ODI cricket and she is hasn't yet secured a global event as captain.

Triumph in India would take her to the summit of her final mountain.
